Hey there, it's been a while since I posted a journal entry but I thought I'd update you folks on some of the new designs I've been working on for animated versions of the characters I created a while back. You've probably seen them as photomanips that I've also got in my Gallery. Anyway I wanted you folks to know and was hoping for some constructive critisism is there anything I can improve on ? I just wanted to talk about how big a turn around my experience of deviantART has been since I joined. Initially some of you may have saw my previous post about how I got a really negative comment on one of my drawings not only negative but deliberately cruel. Besides this one bad experience however I have begun to enjoy this site and there have been a lot of positive comments with some excellent constructive critisism which I feel has really helped me grow as an artist. Well I just got my first negative comment today and I tried to take it on the chin however I felt a little bad about it. Heres a copy of the comment on my piece called Hotshot coloured, by a deviantART member called Adkit: "it's...an incredibles ripoff. the end." Now if the comment had mentioned my technique or offered any pointers I would have felt a lot better about it but I guess that constructive critisism is a little hard to ask for. Here was me innocently joining a site that had a reputation for creative people who wished to better themselves and others through their art but instead I get a comment like this.
